The Czech youngster from Le Mans Series and 24 Heures Du Mans set time which will be new unofficial record of the track, as all previous records were cleared after resurfacing. He was 10 seconds quicker that the new official record set by Marcel Fässler with Corvette Z06 last week in FIA GT.

“It is definitely nice feeling, I hope it will last at least one year” smiled Jan Charouz. “Run was also our thanks to the Czech fans who did not have a chance to see us racing at home with the car this year. Unfortunately, it was very cold, so the tyres were not at their optimum. The lap would have been quicker in better conditions.”
