On Sunday, the 31st January Renault F1 Team officially announced its driver line-up for 2010 season. In addition to racing drivers Robert Kubica (POL) and Vitaly Petrov (RUS) and the third driver Ho-Pin Tung (CHN) will cooperate with the team also Jan Charouz (CZE) and Jérôme d'Ambrosio (BEL) this year who will be involved in the RF1 Driver Programme, which could help them prepare for subsequent entry into the highest level of world motorsport.
On Wednesday, the 3rd February 2010 had Jan Charouz the first opportunity to familiarize himmselves with the team when he visited Valencia, Spain, where this year‘s the first official Formula One test session took place. 22-years-old Czech driver spent whole the day with drivers and technicians and revealed the secrets of the Formula 1 team's work.
„It was really nice day. I met with all members of the team and I had time to talk with Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov. Throughout the day I could watch all over the radio communications between drivers and boxes, I attended all meetings with engineers and drivers, which of course was interesting and beneficial for me. It was a great experience. Moreover, the team worked in quite a good atmosphere thanks to the achieved times. After the last season, nobody expected they would be the fastest at Valencia, so they were satisfied with the results," said Jan Charouz.
Jan Charouz is going to meet the Renault F1 Team again very soon. Next week he will head to the team base in Enstone to create his own seat and later this month he will first time in the cocpit of the yellow-black Formula 1 single-seater during the shakedown on the circuit at Silverstone.
